ACCP's PBRN has the potential to transform medication-related research by bringing together pharmacists from practice and research settings to achieve a common goal; to improve human health. The PBRN will faciliate communication and collaboration among its partners. This will enable more meaningful projects, with greater societal impact than independent clinicans or researchers could ever achieve alone. The PBRN will become a major source of new medication-related knowledge and the vast network will enable unprecendented dissemination of that knowledge to the practitioners who will apply it and thereby transform our health care systems.

I joined the PBRN because I recognized the need for a broad based research network whose ultimate goal is to show the value of clinical pharmacy and see pharmacy one step closer to reaching provider status with CMS.
The Community Advisory Board interested me because it is a unique opportunity to shape a project from the ground up with a grassroots approach. I hope to be able to provide valuable feedback as to the feasibility of the PBRN’s projects.
